Pianist | Steinway Artist

Anika Vavić is a Steinway artist who aims to convey the emotional depth of music to her audiences through her execution striving to live up to the creed of her teacher, the cellist Rostropovich. Some career highlights, includes the Austrian, Russian and German premiere of Shchedrin’s Piano Concerto No. 4 comissioned by Steinway NY with the Saatskapelle Weimar and Kirill Karabits, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra as well as debuts at the BBC Proms and the Enescu Festival.

Anika Also founded the Kunst-am-Nussberg festival, and has successfully hosted four editions at the enchanting Nussberg vineyards. It brings together musicians, dancers, actors, and writers to create meaningful connections with the audience through the integration of all these art forms.

She has collaborated and works regularly with renowned conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Paavo Järvi, Jukka Pekka Saraste, Hannu Lintu, Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla, Kristjan Järvi and Andres Orozco-Estrada.

Vavić regularly appears at the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna and had performed in venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Washington´s Kennedy Center, London’s Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Cologne’s Philharmonie, the Cité de la Musique in Paris, Luxembourg’s Philharmonie, Barcelona’s Palau de la Música, Konzerthaus Berlin and to the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus.
